Directors Mike Manson and Steve Tanner between them have forty years of experience in the production of information resources.

Mike Manson,

Mike has over 20 years experience in research and information and has written widely on careers information and the labour market. In his early years he worked as a careers adviser in Gloucestershire, and as an Unemployment Specialist Careers Adviser in Bristol.
He has worked with colleges, Connexions companies, LSCs, publishers, schools, training providers and other agencies advising on the writing and publication of careers materials. He has been an external examiner for the University of the West of England and was also the chair of the SW Careers Information Managers Group.
He was on the editorial advisory committee for LMI Matters published by the DfES and the LSC in 2005. Mike is also a writer. He is a founder member of the Bristol Books and Publishers Group, an editor of the Bristol Review of Books and was chair of the judges for the 2009 Bristol Short Story Prize.
Steve Tanner,

Since receiving his Masters Degree in Information Science, Steve has gained over 30 years experience in research, information and writing in a wide variety of settings, including the voluntary, community and education sectors. He has also worked as a careers adviser with young people and adults.
As a researcher/writer he has been involved with publishers, training providers, LSCs, Connexions companies, schools, colleges, young people and other agencies on a range of projects, offering publication and print production solutions. His numerous roles have included trainer, writer, editor, researcher, IT Lead, survey designer and analyst. He has worked with young people in focus groups and designing and analysing questionnaires.
Recent projects include producing careers and labour market resources for use on websites, via electronic download, and in traditional hard copy/paper-based print production and distribution. He also has worked with clients on survey and evaluation reports, including an independent analysis of consultation feedback for Kennet and North Wiltshire, and West Wiltshire Primary Care Trusts as part of an extensive review of local services.
One of Steve’s major strengths is his knowledge of ICT and its uses within the careers sector.
